First Military Recruitment are currently seeking an Electrical Installation Instructor on behalf of one of our clients. We are looking for an Electrical Installation / Maintenance Electrician with a high level of industry experience who would like to move into training and pass on their knowledge and experience. Previous or current JIB card holders would be welcomed. Our client encourages applications from ex-military personnel; however, all candidates will be given due consideration.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- The successful candidate will work with existing instructor teams delivering high quality apprenticeship training for client companies.
- Deliver a range of commercial courses including C&G 18th Edition, C&G 2391, Basic Electrical Maintenance and PAT testing.
Skills and Qualifications:
- You will bring your industry experience and a desire to be part of developing the next generation of skilled technicians.
- The successful applicant will have good craft / technical skills, good interpersonal skills, basic computer skills and more than five years commercial / industrial experience.
- Experience of containment installations, first fixing, second fixing and inspection and testing is expected.
- Certification experience with EIC, EICR and minor electrical installation works certification to current BS7671 and GN3 standards within the electrotechnical sectors.
- Relevant electrical apprenticeship or City and Guilds level three qualifications are essential.
- HNC or above would be advantageous.
- Assessor and teaching qualifications are desirable but not essential as full support will be given in the development of necessary skills.
The position will be based at the Hull site but occasional travel to other sites and client companies may be necessary; therefore, willingness to work nationally, on occasion, is essential. A valid driving licence and access to a vehicle are also essential. All successful candidates must pass a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
