Overview:
First Military Recruitment is working in partnership with our reputable client who is seeking a Water Hygiene Technician to join their team in Ealing.
Water Hygiene Technician will be working on various water contracts carrying out legionella tasks on both mains fed and stored hot & cold water systems for our clients. Part of this role also involves carrying out minor works on water services as and when required.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- To carry out water temperature monitoring & sampling, cold water tank inspections, clean & disinfection of cold water storage tanks.
- Shower cleaning & descaling including other outlets
- Carrying out minor plumbing works where required
- Providing same-day service reports as required via a PDA
- Maintaining a healthy relationship with the clients
- Willing and able to work as part of a team and independently showing initiative dealing with situations and completing tasks
- Ability to work to deadlines and timescales
- To undertake urgent tasks as they arise and assist other staff within the team
- Maintain appropriate procedures for all aspects of Health and Safety regulations in line with TBG procedures
- Determine the kind of tools and equipment needed to do a job and report any defective/non calibrated equipment
- Contribute to the continuous improvement and effectiveness within your team
- Any other duties as may reasonably be requested by your line Manager or Supervisor
Skills, Experience and Qualifications:
- NVQ plumbing Essential
- Legionella Awareness Desirable
- Certificate of Asbestos Awareness Training Desirable
- Certificate of Training Achievement for Working at Height, Manual Handling, First Aid (1-Day), or other. Desirable
- Minimum 1 year experience within a water hygiene environment Desirable
- Full driving licence Essential
- ACoP L8, HSG274, Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations 1999 Desirable
