Overview: First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a Chemical Operator on behalf of one of our clients. Our client encourages applications from ex-military personnel, however all candidates will be given due consideration.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Operate and monitor chemical processing equipment to ensure safe and efficient performance.
  • Load and unload road tankers and curtain-sided delivery vehicles.
  • Perform routine equipment inspections and report any issues promptly.
  • Operate a forklift truck for materials handling.
  • Collaborate with team members to resolve operational challenges.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment at all times.
  • Accurately perform calculations and measurements related to chemical processes.
  • Participate in stock management and materials storage tasks.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Valid FLT licence preferred, but not essential.
  • Experience handling hazardous chemicals is desirable but not required.
  • Strong attention to detail and high safety standards.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic maths skills essential for production-related calculations.
  • Physically capable of lifting and operating machinery safely.
  • GCSE or equivalent (preferred).
