Overview:
First Military Recruitment is proudly working in partnership with a fantastic International Defence business who are looking to recruit a Vehicle Maintenance Technician on a permanent basis due to growth based at their Middle Wallop depot.
As a Vehicle Maintainer you ll have a role that s out of the ordinary. You\’ll have a key role working within a highly effective team, where the highest standards will be expected. You\’ll will work hands on with a variety of military vehicles including Land Rovers, MAN SVs and aircraft refuellers, helping to keep essential Army operations running smoothly.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- General vehicle maintenance and servicing duties.
- Undertake driving tasks, appropriate to licences held.
- Work as member of the team and support other trades when necessary.
- Aircraft Refuel and Aircraft towing tractors – including Land Rovers, MAN SV.
- To ensure a quality service delivery by understanding both the customer needs and contractual requirements.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Engineering experience (REME Class 2, NVQ Level 3 or Civilian) or Equivalent (City & Guilds).
- Experience with aircraft refuelling/Oshkosh and other military vehicles with knowledge and understanding of MoD working environment, practices and procedures including JAMES system would be beneficially to this role.
- CAT B licence
- Cat C+E Licence or willing to be trained
- ADR qualification or willing to be trained
