Salary: £25,657 Per Annum + Percentage of Stores Sales (£27,500 – £29,000 OTE)
Working Hours: 39 hours per week, 5 days out of 6 (3 out of 4 Saturdays per month)
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure branch is opened and closed on time and record absence correctly.
- Support the Manager in leading staff motivation, identifying issues, and proposing solutions to improve.
- Support the Manager with business development calls, logging them using CRM.
- Support the Manager with acquiring new customers (prospects) and taking them through the prospect process using CRM.
- Understand and contribute to the monthly Balanced Scorecard.
- Respond promptly to out‑of‑hours call‑outs, managing holiday and store closures appropriately.
- Follow strong working procedures to ensure the branch runs efficiently (e.g. filing at the end of the day, action plan creation).
- Perform first‑line response to disciplinary or performance issues and engage early to tackle them.
- Develop staff skills, including product and sales training; identify improvement areas and lead personal development.
- Greet all customers on arrival, identify needs, and enthusiastically suggest solutions.
- Ensure staff deliver the company’s vision for the store and customer experience.
- Ensure staff actively participate in company promotions.
- Prepare and execute yearly stock take.
- Conduct PPI and investigate discrepancies thoroughly.
- Attend and contribute to Assistant Managers’ meetings throughout the year.
- File and store current and redundant paperwork safely and logically to comply with PCI DSS obligations.
- Maintain satisfactory appearance and personal hygiene among staff.
- Implement Company Health and Safety policy and ensure continued compliance.
- Follow safe working practices and complete all checks thoroughly and promptly.
- Ensure swift and well‑merchandised roll‑out of new products into store.
- Lead product demonstrations or training when required.
- Undertake weekly building inspections and report defects promptly.
- Manage contractors on site, ensuring compliance with health and safety procedures.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Maintain productive working relationships with colleagues, suppliers, and customers.
- Remain calm and focused under pressure.
- Use initiative to recommend products, cross‑sell, etc.
- A friendly and outgoing personality.
- Experience of dealing with retail and trade customers is advantageous but not necessarily required.
