Overview: First Military Recruitment are currently seeking an Area Sales Manager on behalf of one of our fantastic clients in Thirsk. Our client provides a range of mobile & static platform lift hire solutions, backed by expert training services. Previous sales experience in the powered access hire industry is essential.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- You will primarily be responsible for promoting all our services and benefits to the customer and maximising sales through face to face visits and cold calling.
- You will manage an existing customer portfolio and target new business in accordance with depot targets.
- You should work with the Depot Manager to retain and manage all customers and sites within an agreed sales area.
- You will be needed to achieve revenue growth against depot budget and reactivate dormant accounts.
- You will complete weekly planners and call reports and complete and update account management, site sheets and quote records.
- You will need to carry out site surveys as required aiding the customer in selecting the appropriate machine for the task.
- You will be required to build effective customer relationships, exceed customer service and expectations and resolve any customer issues promptly and satisfactorily.
- You will be expected to achieve goals and objectives and exceed targets.
Skills and Qualifications:
- You should be able to demonstrate a successful sales track record in the rental sector.
- You are customer focused and possess excellent administration and organisation skills.
- You should have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal with the ability to communicate face to face and on the telephone and be computer literate.
- You are a proactive individual who is confident and a personable negotiator.
- A full Category B driving licence is essential.
