Overview:
First Military are currently recruiting for a Site Engineer for our client who manufacture and install tensile fabric canopies to schools and hospitality businesses UK wide (and occasionally abroad). The successful candidate must be willing to work away from home.
Full training will be given both in house and through training providers, this will be ongoing and react to the needs of the company within the construction industry requirements. This is a varied and well supported role with lots of responsibility and customer contact. There is a very real path to career progression for the right candidate and training and guidance will be given.
Key Responsibilities:
- The Installation Supervisor/Engineer will work as part of a small team installing lightweight tensile fabric structures plus some small foundations UK wide (and occasionally abroad).
- They will be responsible for the installation of steel frames with small hand tools and to install tensile fabric membranes.
- Assisting the completion of projects on time and within budget whilst working to high quality standards.
- Problem solving and implementing company procedures and protocols.
- Work to the strict Health and Safety regimes required in the construction industry and abide by the company's procedures.
Skills & Experience:
- Experience of Leading Teams in a construction environment.
- Experience in using hand tools and carrying out small ground works.
- Must have a flexible working attitude regarding working outdoors; some weekend work will be required.
- Willingness to work away from home.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
Desirable:
- CSCS Card.
- PASMA.
