MS460 – Service Engineer (Mechanical) Location: Derby Salary: £35,000 – £40,000 per annum Overview: First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a Service Engineer on behalf of one of our clients. The successful candidate will be responsible for repairing and maintenance of customer owned equipment; including preparation and testing of equipment for sales, rental and loan. You will provide application engineering support for processing of weld samples; including developing and proving the tooling and techniques necessary to meet the requirements of individual enquiries, sales orders and product development. Our client encourages applications from ex-military personnel however all candidates will be given due consideration. Duties and Responsibilities: Maintain an efficient and organised service area keeping a detailed and accurate daily record of work performed for entry and compilation of service reports, calibration records, repair quotes and sales orders as required. Mechanical Parts: Function test and fault finding , strip, clean, assess, repair & replace parts, rebuild & test. Cable Assemblies: Function test and fault finding, control cable repair and replacement including soldering of connector terminations etc. Controllers: Completion of software updates, function test and fault finding, routine calibration, validation & PAT testing.
