Working Hours: 8am to 5pm Monday to Thursday, 8am to 2pm on Friday

Overview: First Military Recruitment is proudly working in partnership with a fantastic engineering business who are looking to recruit a Service and Calibration Engineer on a permanent basis due to growth based at their Petersfield location. Working in the service and calibration team. Repairing and calibrating AC and DC Power Sources and Loads, Battery Test Equipment, and other related Equipment. Both on site and at customer sites in the UK. Assisting in the continuation of our UKAS accreditation, by developing calibration procedures of new equipment and expanding the scope of our client's accreditation.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Repairing Electronic Power Equipment to component level
  • Calibrating Electronic Power Equipment
  • Assisting in the admin of the service and calibration department
  • Visiting customers to carry out calibrations around 1-2 weeks per month
  • Assisting customers with technical problems

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience in Instrumentation and Calibration: At least 2-3 years of hands-on experience in the servicing, testing, and calibration of electronic, and electrical instruments.
  • Experience with Calibration Standards and Procedures: Knowledge of national and international calibration standards (e.g., ISO 17025) and the ability to perform calibration tasks based on these standards.
  • Experience with Different Instrumentation: Familiarity with a wide range of test and measurement instruments such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, AC/DC power supplies, Insulation and flash testers.
  • Previous experience with repair and maintenance: Fault finding analogue and digital electronics, Electronic circuit schematic interpretation skills, Component level repairs.
  • Understanding of Instrumentation: In-depth knowledge of various types of test and measurement equipment used in industrial, scientific, and laboratory environments.
  • Troubleshooting and Diagnostics: Strong problem-solving skills to diagnose and troubleshoot malfunctions in electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Hands-on Calibration: Ability to perform detailed calibration tasks and document results. Familiarity with tools like calibration certificates and validation reports.
  • Individuals with RF experience are also welcome to apply.
