Salary: £35,000 - £38,000 + Overtime & Van

Overview: First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a Field Service Engineer on behalf of one of our clients. You will report to the Service Manager and the Lead Service Engineer and will have relationships with all other departments. Our client encourages applications from ex-military personnel; however, all candidates will be given due consideration.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • To organise & complete service visits according to manufacturer’s recommendations.
  • To position, install and commission equipment at customer sites.
  • To advise Head Office of any sales opportunities identified during the course of duties.
  • To promote the company and act in a professional and diplomatic manner at all times.
  • To adhere to quality standards at all times.
  • Feedback quality issues to the office.
  • To provide technical support to colleagues & customers as required.
  • Extensive travel within the UK and occasionally may be asked to travel outside the UK.
  • Time permitting, the following duties will also be undertaken:
  • To plan & organise sales visits to existing and prospective customers.
  • To promote the sale of the company’s products & services.
  • To report on the outcome and follow-up action resulting from all sales visits.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Health & Safety certification.
  • Customer accreditation e.g. UKPN, National Grid, London Underground.
  • Electrical / electronic fault finding.
  • Electromechanical installation.
  • Physically fit (manual handling).
  • Attention to detail.
  • Analytical problem solving.
  • Good, clear and timely reporting.

Desirable:

  • 18th Edition and BS2391-50 or above.
  • CSCS.
  • UKPN Person.
  • Electrical qualification.
  • Electromechanical installation site work.
