Overview

First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a Field Service Engineer (Mechanical) on behalf of one of our clients. Our client encourages applications from ex‐military personnel; however, all candidates will be given due consideration.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Liaison with Team Manager & customers who require service, technical support, proposal of possible new opportunities for further work.
  • Update at least on a weekly basis the schedule for themselves, holidays, sickness time and send to the Team Manager on a weekly basis.
  • Ensure ALL relevant paperwork is returned to the office, including worksheets and reports within a timely manner. No more than 1 week behind.
  • Provide regular feedback of information within their customer base including all potential business opportunities to the Team Manager and Sales team.
  • Undergo audits and site inspections as required by Team Manager or General Manager to improve standards at all times.
  • Manage the health and safety issues related to themselves and those required by the customers' sites, subcontractors you are working with.
  • Perform routine maintenance/calibrations on industrial and aviation fuelling equipment and associated control systems—report and address any system issues in a timely fashion.
  • Ensure strict confidentiality is observed when dealing with client information.
  • Willing to undertake any other work in any other areas or activities of the business as required.

Skills and Qualifications

  • N.V.Q Level 3 Engineering Maintenance Installation – desirable
  • Mechanical Engineering Modern Apprenticeship – desirable
  • C&G Mechanical Engineering or equivalent – this or any one of above desirable
  • Higher National Certificate (HNC) in Mechanical Engineering – Optional
  • Clean UK Driving Licence
