Overview: First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a Class 2 Driver on behalf of one of our clients. This role has been created to support a significant new customer contract, and the successful candidate will be dedicated exclusively to servicing this account, playing a key role in ensuring exceptional service delivery and customer satisfaction. Our client encourages applications from ex-military personnel; however, all candidates will be given due consideration.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Safely and efficiently complete scheduled deliveries and collections in line with customer requirements.
- Act as the dedicated driver supporting a key new contract, maintaining high standards of service and professionalism.
- Conduct daily vehicle inspections and ensure the vehicle remains clean, safe and roadworthy.
- Load, secure and unload goods in accordance with company procedures.
- Complete all delivery paperwork accurately and report any issues promptly.
- Adhere to all relevant road traffic legislation, driver hours regulations and company policies.
- Build and maintain positive working relationships with customers and colleagues.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Valid Category C (Class 2) driving licence.
- Valid driver CPC qualification card.
- Digital tachograph card.
- Strong understanding of driver compliance and road safety requirements.
- Professional attitude with excellent customer service skills.
- Previous multi-drop or contact distribution experience would be advantageous.
