JR368: Electrician Location: Lewisham & Central London Salary: Up to £43,426.50 + Company Van Overview: First Military Recruitment is working in partnership with our reputable client who is seeking an Electrician to join their team. Duties and Responsibilities: Carry out electrical installations, planned maintenance and responsive repairs to domestic and commercial properties. Undertake rewiring, upgrades, minor electrical repairs and fault finding. Inspect electrical systems, equipment and components to identify hazards, defects and required repairs or replacements. Diagnose electrical faults using appropriate test equipment and make systems safe where required. Test, record and certify electrical works in accordance with current wiring regulations and relevant British Standards. Work safely and effectively both independently and as part of a team. Follow all Health & Safety procedures, risk assessments, method statements and company policies. Maintain company-issued plant, equipment and materials, ordering replacements when required. Receive and investigate verbal and written job instructions and assess site requirements before commencing work. Advise supervisors or managers of any issues where continued operation of equipment may be hazardous. Undertake urgent tasks as required and assist other members of the team. Report Health & Safety concerns, hazards and near misses appropriately. Contribute to the continuous improvement and effectiveness of the team. Undertake any other reasonable duties as requested by the Line Manager or Supervisor. Skills and Qualifications: Essential: 18th Edition Wiring Regulations. Certificate of Asbestos Awareness Training. Minimum 5 years' experience. Full driving licence. Excellent communication skills. Ability to work alone and as part of a team. Desirable: C&G 2391 / 2393 / 2394 / 2395 electrical qualifications. Certificates of Training Achievement for Working at Height, Manual Handling, First Aid or similar. Previous experience installing and diagnosing electrical control wiring faults on domestic central heating systems. Ability to keep technically up to date and apply new knowledge to the role.
