Overview: First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a Field Service Engineer on behalf of one of our clients. The role will suit experienced Service Engineers with instrumentation and calibration skills. The role is a Field Service position involving travel throughout the UK and stay away on average 60 nights a year including offshore work. In this varied and technically challenging role you will carry out a range of servicing, commissioning and repair at a range of client sites. The company rewards hard work with progression, promotions and additional benefits. Our client encourages applications from ex-military personnel; however, all candidates will be given due consideration.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Commissioning, servicing and repair of all the company’s equipment at customer sites.
  • Some working at height.
  • The work is concentrated at customer sites in the South East but does involve travel throughout the UK including offshore and stays away.
  • Provide support and training to customer employees on the use of equipment (operation, calibration and fault-finding).
  • Technical Support internally and for external customers.
  • Completing technical reports, upkeeping documents and identifying sales opportunities.
  • Typically working 4 days a week on site visits and 1 day a week from home on admin/support.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • The role will suit experienced Service Engineers with instrumentation and calibration skills.
  • Instrumentation experience to include calibration and process control.
  • Will hold an instrumentation/electrical/electronic qualification.
