JB508: HGV Class 2 Driver Location: Aylesford, Kent Salary: 40,000 per annum ( 50,000+ OTE) Overview First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a HGV Class 2 Driver on behalf of one of our clients. Our client encourages applications from ex-military personnel; however, all candidates will be given due consideration. Duties and Responsibilities for the HGV Class 2 Driver: Building positive relationships with customers and ensuring complete satisfaction. Carefully loading, unloading and handling products to ensure they arrive in perfect condition. Completing PODs, CMRs and customs documentation where required. Carrying out daily vehicle checks and reporting defects promptly. Ensuring loads are secured correctly and transported safely. Using company technology including PDAs and tracking systems. Communicating effectively with the Transport Manager and wider team. Following drivers hours, tachograph and Working Time Directive regulations. Maintaining high standards of safety, professionalism and presentation. Skills and Qualifications for the HGV Class 2 Driver: Full UK HGV Class 2 driving licence. Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph card. Experience with European tramping would be desirable and will include multiple nights away (Monday Friday). As well as UK work.
