Overview

First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a Lead Internal Quality Assurer on behalf of one of our clients. You will be responsible for organising and maintaining the internal quality assurance processes across the organisation's training and assessment provision. Our client encourages applications from ex‑military personnel; however, all candidates will be given due consideration.

Duties and Responsibilities

The role ensures that assessment decisions are fair, valid, reliable, consistent and that provision meets the requirements of awarding organisations EAL, City & Guilds, ECITB, TWI, JTL (CompEx), Pearsons EDEXCEL Higher National Programs and Apprenticeships. End point assessment provision sits separately to this role with the Head of Higher Nationals Programmes and Field Team Manager respectively. The Lead IQA provides support to IQAs, assessors and trainers, embedding a strong quality culture and driving continuous improvement.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Experience in a similar role within an education setting preferably with an engineering background.
  • Good craft/technical skills, good interpersonal skills, basic computer skills and more than five years in a similar role.
  • Hold a recognised IQA qualification (eg Level 4 Award in the IQA of Assessment Processes and Practice or equivalent).
  • Hold a teaching qualification and qualifications in an engineering trade discipline to a minimum of level 3.
  • Significant experience as an IQA within a training provider environment.
  • Strong knowledge of awarding organisation requirements and external quality assurance.
  • Experience of leading standardisation and quality improvement activity.

All successful candidates must pass a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
