Overview: First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a Renewable Heating Engineer on behalf of our client. We strongly encourage applications from ex-military personnel; however, all candidates will be considered. Our client is a family owned and managed business that has been maintaining and installing renewable heating technologies since 2005. They are now expanding their team to meet growing demand for sustainable heating solutions.

Whether you are already an expert or a qualified plumber eager to expand your skillset or gaining experience, we would like to hear from you. Our client can provide training and mentoring to help the successful candidate succeed.

The Role:

  • You will be responsible for the installation, maintenance and servicing of:
    • Air & Ground source Heat Pumps
    • Biomass Boilers
    • Hot Water Cylinders & Heating Controls

Key Responsibilities:

  • Installing & Commissioning systems
  • Diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs
  • Servicing systems and optimising long-term performance
  • Communicating with customers, suppliers and the team
  • Ensuring strict compliance with industry regulations & safety standards
  • Working independently and as part of the team

Competencies & Experience:

  • Proven experience in heating or plumbing (renewables experience is preferred but not essential – we value the right attitude)
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills
  • Enthusiasm for renewable energy and system efficiency
  • A full UK driving licence is essential
