We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Electrician to join a Building Services team responsible for a large, historic, multi-use property. The role involves a mix of electrical installation, planned maintenance, reactive repairs, and technical support for events within a heritage environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, wiring, equipment, fixtures, and lighting.
  • Work on both single-phase and three-phase systems for motors, pumps, fans, and associated control gear.
  • Inspect, test, and diagnose electrical faults to ensure compliance with BS 7671 and relevant regulations.
  • Maintain emergency lighting, generators, and electrical safety logs.
  • Provide reactive maintenance and support for building operations and events, including temporary power setups.
  • Assist with surveys, PPM schedules, and CAFM system updates.
  • Liaise with contractors and provide technical advice when required.
  • Support other maintenance tasks where reasonable.

Experience & Qualifications

Essential:

  • City & Guilds (or equivalent) electrical qualification
  • 18th Edition
  • Experience in commercial or heritage building maintenance
  • Computer literate & able to work independently or as part of a team

Desirable:

  • 2391-52 (Inspection & Testing)
  • Experience with plant controls, UPS, or generators
