Overview
First Military Recruitment are currently seeking an electrician (automotive) on behalf of one of our clients. Our client encourages applications from ex‐military personnel; however, all candidates will be given due consideration.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain electrical systems on a wide variety of vehicles, equipment, and plant machinery.
- Perform scheduled servicing, inspections, and electrical testing in line with legislative and safety requirements.
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot wiring, lighting, communication devices, and auxiliary electrical systems.
- Carry out fault‐finding using diagnostic tools and interpret results accurately.
- Ensure all work meets required quality standards and complies with relevant regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts usage, and service activities.
- Support the procurement and maintenance of a fleet of up to approximately 600 vehicles and 1,100 assets.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure a high level of fleet availability.
- Uphold health and safety practices and contribute to a clean, safe working environment.
Skills and Qualifications
- Extensive experience in Automotive Electrics.
- Full current Driving Licence.
- Relevant qualifications/skills/experience in the diagnosis of complex electrical system faults.
- Proficient in using vehicle diagnostic equipment/software/electrical testing equipment.
- Carry out installations to a high standard (i.e. camera systems, beacons, telemetry etc).
- HGV/LCV Drivers Licence (desirable).
- Ability to remove/refit mechanical components etc to rectify faults.
