Overview: Our client, based in Birmingham, is currently looking for an experienced Artic Driver with container experience to join their team on a permanent basis. The role offers regular Monday-to-Friday working hours, with shifts starting at 07:30 and finishing at approximately 16:30. Weekend work is very rare, providing an excellent opportunity for a driver looking for a consistent Monday-to-Friday position. Ideally, but not essential, the successful candidate will have container driving experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate an articulated HGV vehicle.
- Transport containers safely and efficiently to and from customer locations.
- Complete all required vehicle and delivery documentation.
- Carry out daily vehicle safety checks and report any defects.
- Ensure all loads are secured and transported in accordance with relevant legislation.
- Maintain high standards of professionalism when dealing with customers and other road users.
- Comply with all relevant road transport, health and safety regulations.
Essential Requirements:
- Full Class 1 (Category C+E) licence.
- Valid Driver CPC qualification.
- Valid Digital Tachograph card.
- Must be aged 25 or over for insurance purposes.
