First Military Recruitment is working in partnership with our reputable client who is seeking a Domestic Gas Operative to join their team.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Service, general repairs/maintenance, and attend breakdowns of gas appliances and central heating systems at client premises in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions and industry standards.
- Diagnose and repair modern and traditional boilers; repair central heating systems including fitting new pumps, motorised valves, radiators and pipework adaptations as necessary.
- Perform Power Flushing of heating systems.
- Ensure security and correct operation of all work equipment supplied including vehicles, tools, flue gas analysis meters and mobile data equipment.
- Ensure all Certification and Documentation is recorded accurately and in a timely manner.
- Provide customer care, dealing with potentially impatient or angry tenants and coping with emotional demands.
- Work as part of a team while demonstrating independent initiative in dealing with situations and completing tasks.
- Communicate effectively with customers when explaining operation of gas appliances and importance of regular servicing.
- Work to deadlines and timescales and liaise with managers and customers regarding schedule changes or appointments.
- Perform any other duties reasonably requested by the Leadership Team.
Skills and Qualifications
- ACS qualifications: minimum of CCN1, CEN1, WAT1, (CENWAT), CKR1, HTR1 & CPA1
- Energy Efficiency
- DAH1, Unvented Hot Water, WRAS (water supply regulations 1999) (Desirable)
- Certificate of Asbestos Awareness Training
- Certificate of Training Achievement for Working at Height, Manual Handling, First Aid (1-Day), or other (Desirable)
- Full driving licence
