Overview
First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a Catering Assistant on behalf of one of our clients.
Our client encourages applications from ex-military personnel however all candidates will be given due consideration.
Shift patterns for this role will differ depending on where the successful candidate will be working, with some weekend work expected. Please see below:
- 0600-1400
- 0700-1500
- 0800-1700
- 1100-1900
- 1145-1945
- 1530-2330
Duties and Responsibilities
- Operating varied shift working patterns between daily food and bar services alongside possible reception and accommodation management duties.
- Operate alongside service personnel & the industry partner to ensure catering services are provided in accordance policy.
- Operate & comply with all relevant statutory legislation and local orders.
- Undertake accurate cash handling and profit protection procedures.
- Undertake stock taking procedure.
- Undertake basic IT input tasks.
- Undertake basic administrative tasks.
- Ensure you are dressed correctly and adhere to the highest standards of hygiene.
- Ensure the correct PPE is worn.
- Adhere to all safe systems of work including UK food safety/health & safety legislation and company safety systems & risk assessments.
- Maintain the highest standards of customer service & hospitality.
- Remain fully current in all required job competencies / KPIs as directed in local orders.
- Maintain a high security awareness and reporting culture.
Skills and Qualifications
- Food & beverage service/hospitality industry experience.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Food safety level 2 training is desirable.
Security Clearance: BPSS Basic.
