Salary – Up to £41,371 Per Annum
Overview:
First Military Recruitment is working in partnership with our reputable client who is seeking a Multi Skilled Operative (Plumber) to join their team.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ability to isolate existing supplies, strip out existing bathroom including tiles, floor and sanitary wear.
- Reroute existing or supply new hot and cold supplies, running mains supply for showers, adapting/renewing waste pipes and soil stacks as per designed provided/instructed by Field Operations Manager and/or Supervisor.
- Drain down central heating system as required for radiator removal where applicable.
- Connection of waste via gravity or pump, ability to prepare walls for tiling and/or decorations, tiling to all required areas, carpentry, boxing out walls, stud work, door re swings, hanging new doors within new and old linings and installation of specialist equipment i.e. grab rails, carer doors.
- Complete all assigned tasks in a timely manner.
- Ensure all aspects of Health & Safety guidance and regulations are applied and observed at all times to protect all members of the public and work colleagues.
- To work as an individual or as part of a team of highly skilled and professional tradespersons maintaining high standards of service provision at all times.
- To maintain all plant, equipment and vehicles within your control to the highest level of standards and efficiencies and report any incidents however minor to a line manager.
- To comply with company’s internal procedures including purchasing, receiving and returning of goods, hiring of plant and equipment, use of purchase trade card.
- To undertake any associated trade tasks that are within the competence of the individual and that are within the confines of health and safety legislation.
Skills, Experience and Qualifications:
Essential:
- City & Guilds / time served plumber.
- Minimum of 2 years wet room installation /construction site experience.
- Experience in a customer service type role, dealing directly with residents.
- Full Clean driving license.
Desirable:
- Certificate of Asbestos Awareness Training.
- Certificate of Training Achievement for Working at Height, Manual Handling, First Aid (1-Day), or other.
- Installation of vinyl safety flooring.
