We are seeking an experienced SQL Analyst to support the development, maintenance, and analysis of our SQL-based data warehouse. The analyst will ensure accurate data flows, maintain SQL infrastructure, and generate insights related to sales performance, pricing, churn, product mix, and waste stream volumes. The role will also support the integration of data from new acquisitions, ensuring consistent reporting and scalable forecasting models based on historical data stored in the SQL data warehouse.

Key Responsibilities / Accountabilities
SQL Data Warehouse & Infrastructure
- Build and maintain SQL data warehouse structures to ensure reliable and scalable data access.
- Develop and maintain SQL pipelines and data tables supporting business intelligence and forecasting.
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across all reporting datasets.
Forecasting & Business Insights
- Develop and maintain forecasting models in SQL using historical data stored in the data warehouse.
- Support forecasting of sales volumes, tonnage, and pricing by client.
- Support forecasting of sales volumes, tonnage, and pricing by waste stream.
- Support forecasting of sales volumes, tonnage, and pricing by location.
- Support forecasting of sales volumes, tonnage, and pricing by product/service type.
- Help build scalable forecasting frameworks that allow the business to project future demand and operational requirements.
Data Integration & Acquisitions
- Support the integration of new acquisitions into the SQL data warehouse.
- Develop new SQL data structures and datasets to incorporate newly acquired operational and sales data.
- Ensure standardized reporting and forecasting across legacy and newly acquired businesses.
Reporting & Collaboration
- Work closely with commercial, finance, and operations teams to translate business questions into SQL analysis.
- Create and maintain SQL datasets used by BI dashboards and reporting tools.
Technical Skills
- Strong proficiency in SQL (complex queries, joins, aggregations, window functions).
- Experience working with SQL data warehouses and large datasets.
- Experience building data pipelines and data models.
Other Skills
- Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
- Ability to communicate clearly and simply to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience working with multi-entity or acquisition-driven businesses is beneficial.
- Expert proficiency in Power BI, Excel (Power Query, Power Pivot).
- ERP/BI stack: e.g., MS Dynamics / NetSuite / Salesforce.
- Collaboration: Microsoft 365, Teams, SharePoint.
- Desirable: Experience from comparable sectors.
