Join Our Team as a Compliance Coordinator! At Greenzone, we're looking for a Compliance Coordinator to join our team in Newark, Nottinghamshire. Working from our premises in Newark, Nottinghamshire, this role is the ideal opportunity for a highly organized and motivated individual with extensive administrative experience.

What You’ll Do

The main focus of this role is to assist in ensuring compliance with relevant health and safety and fire safety requirements at the Company premises. The Compliance Coordinator will be responsible for:

  • Completing desk-top supplier audits for onboarding and at appropriate intervals thereafter
  • Maintaining records of supplier audits in accordance with Company requirements from time to time
  • Liasing with the Supply Chain team to ensure effective management of supply chain
  • Maintaining a current and working knowledge of law, guidance and best practice relating to health and safety, fire safety and waste management (including law relevant to suppliers and not only waste brokers)
  • Monitoring suppliers’ operations and performance as appropriate and in compliance with Company values, policies and procedures
  • Maintaining a current and working knowledge of suppliers, competitors and future changes in the law to support the Company to identify new suppliers, save costs/maximise profit and deliver innovative and/or cost-effective waste management solutions to customers

Compliance

  • Maintaining current and working knowledge of law, guidance and best practice relating to waste management
  • Following company systems, processes and policies that are in place to ensure compliance with law relevant to waste management (including without limitation in respect of waste information and record keeping)
  • Supplier audits – completing desk-top audits to monitor suppliers’ operations and ensure the Company Software is up to date with all relevant documentation as required by the Company
  • Identifying suppliers who are not compliant and immediately notifying interested internal parties, monitor suppliers (including as agreed with Supply Chain) who are non-compliant or where there is a concern

Health and Safety, and Fire Safety

  • Maintaining a current and working knowledge of the law, guidance and best practice in relation to health and safety and fire safety
  • Monitoring the correct use of systems, processes and policies in place to ensure compliance with law in relation to health and safety and fire safety relevant to employees, visitors and contractors at Company premises

ISO

  • Assisting in the administration of current ISO standards (45001, 9001, 14001 and 27001) and future standards as directed by the Company
  • Ensuring quality control standards are implemented as required by applicable standards
  • Conducting and managing internal audits

Commercial and General

  • Efficiently using company resources in the performance of all activities within responsibility of the role holder
  • Working effectively with other departments of the Company to achieve overall Company objectives
  • Continuous improvement of internal processes and systems
  • Always acting in the Company’s best interests and supporting business growth and reputation

Requirements

About You

Skills

  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written communications to be professional, accurate and complete)
  • Organised with excellent record keeping skills
  • I.T. confident. Able to use Company systems (training will be provided)

Experience

  • Experience in a waste management role (Desirable)
  • Experience building strong stakeholder relationships
  • Experience in maintaining ISO 14001, 9001, 45001 and 27001 standards (Desirable)

Qualifications

  • IOSH Managing Safely (Desirable)
  • Fire Warden (Desirable)
  • First Aider (Desirable)
