Your Mission
We're looking for a commercially minded Performance Marketing Manager to drive growth across both our SME and Enterprise segments. You'll own our acquisition strategy end-to-end — from attracting new SME customers through our digital channels, to building pipeline and demand for Enterprise sales. This role is all about measurable impact: planning, executing, and optimising paid marketing campaigns to drive customer acquisition, improve ROI, and fuel our ambitious growth targets and growing our organic reach through SEO. You'll also own our conversion rate optimisation (CRO) strategy and roadmap for thefirstmile.co.uk, working closely with our UX Designer to deliver an exceptional onsite experience that converts visitors into customers.
What You'll Own
- Acquisition strategy: Lead the development and execution of a customer acquisition plan focused on SME sign-ups and Enterprise lead generation.
- Performance marketing: Plan, run, and optimise paid campaigns (predominantly PPC/Google Ads) to deliver measurable results — from increased sign-ups to improved ROI and better in-platform efficiencies.
- SEO and aiSEO: Ensure year-on-year growth in organic non-brand traffic through a comprehensive SEO strategy that improves keyword rankings and captures new traffic, whilst optimising for LLMs; utilising specialist support where needed.
- CRO / UX optimisation: Define and deliver a CRO strategy to improve onsite conversion across web enquiries, ecommerce checkouts, and other touchpoints – working closely with our UX designer and engineering team to implement and monitor changes.
- Reporting & insights: Own performance reporting, translating data into actionable insights that inform strategy and demonstrate ROI; owning clear revenue and pipeline targets.
Our Values
- Amaze Customers – through thoughtful, user-friendly design.
- Love the Planet – create with purpose and impact in mind.
- Be One Team – learn, collaborate, and grow together.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience in performance marketing or growth marketing roles, ideally in a B2B or SaaS environment; minimum of 3 years' experience.
- Deep understanding of digital marketing channels in particular Paid Search (Google Ads, Bing).
- Hands‐on experience managing large digital marketing budgets and delivering strong ROI.
- Expertise in CRO, web analytics, and A/B testing tools.
- Strong analytical mindset – able to translate data into clear, actionable strategies.
- Excellent collaboration skills, comfortable working cross‐functionally with UX, Sales, and Customer Facing teams.
- A passion for sustainability and making a positive impact on the planet.
We offer a range of benefits to our employees and will encourage you to follow your passions as well as the opportunity to learn and try new things within a structured framework designed to help you excel. On top of all this, we've added some extras which include:
- Company Bonus Scheme - earn up to 10% of your salary again every quarter!
- Enhanced maternity/paternity scheme.
- Regular company parties and events.
- Employee recognition at our monthly town hall event.
- 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays) as well as an extra day for each complete year of service.
- A £60 a month allowance to spend on you. If you want a gym membership, loads of cookies, to pamper yourself, or to pay for a flight it is totally up to you!
- Lots of drinks, food, socials, and events throughout the year.
But most importantly, a fun, positive, collaborative workplace in which you can learn, working for a rapidly growing, multi‐award‐winning business in a sector that has never been more important.
