The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.
We are looking for an experienced Transport Manager to join our North Acton, London team. You will be managing and supporting the transport operation, including supplier relationships and the commercial aspects of operations.
Responsibilities
- Full ownership of the fleet operations out of our main North Acton Depot and smaller Oldbury depot (Circa 90 vehicles)
- Ensuring all fleet assets are serviced and make sure they have MOT in line with requirements and all paperwork and systems are updated promptly
- Sourcing and building relationships with third parties, e.g. garages, to ensure the company is getting the best service at a competitive cost
- Investigation of all vehicle accidents and infringements and carrying out the necessary follow up
- Management of maintenance and usage of vehicle trackers, cameras, and monitoring systems.
- Preparing and submitting reports relating to the fleet and drivers' safety scores
- Supporting the FORS and ISO audit process to ensure the fleet meets the required standards
- Ensuring all drivers have the relevant compliance documentation to be able to drive, e.g., tacho card, driving license, drivers handbook
- Continuous review of all vehicle-related systems and processes to ensure we deliver the best in class.
- Allocating and managing vehicle resources according to changing needs of the operation with the ability to provide adequate cover at a planning level
- Ensuring effective and efficient use of driver and vehicle resources
Requirements
- Comprehensive knowledge of fleet regulations
- Experience with FORS and ISO is desirable
- Previous Management experience either in logistics or another similar field
- Must hold a CPC (national or international)
- Good IT skills
- Good understanding of Transport Regulations
- Strong organisational skills
- Excellent budget-handling skills
