About the Role

We are seeking two experienced and motivated Grounds Maintenance Operatives to join our established and supportive team. Reporting to the Grounds Supervisor, you will play a key role in maintaining and enhancing a variety of outdoor spaces to a consistently high standard. This is a hands-on position, ideal for someone confident working independently, with the ability to support and occasionally lead a small team when required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lawn mowing using pedestrian, ride-on, and tractor equipment
  • Strimming and hedge trimming
  • Litter picking and leaf clearance
  • General landscaping and grounds maintenance
  • Sports field maintenance and line marking
  • Winter gritting duties
  • Safe operation of hand and power tools
  • Towing trailers between sites

Essential Requirements

  • Proven experience in grounds or landscape maintenance
  • Full UK driving licence (maximum 6 points)
  • Experience towing trailers
  • Ability to work independently and lead a small team when required
  • Strong communication skills with a professional approach
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic
  • Availability to start between February and March (date TBC)
  • Ability to provide work references

Desirable (but Not Essential)

  • PA1 / PA6 certification
  • Sports field maintenance and line marking experience
  • Mechanical knowledge of grounds maintenance equipment
  • Gardening or horticultural knowledge
