About the Role
We are seeking two experienced and motivated Grounds Maintenance Operatives to join our established and supportive team. Reporting to the Grounds Supervisor, you will play a key role in maintaining and enhancing a variety of outdoor spaces to a consistently high standard. This is a hands-on position, ideal for someone confident working independently, with the ability to support and occasionally lead a small team when required.
Key Responsibilities
- Lawn mowing using pedestrian, ride-on, and tractor equipment
- Strimming and hedge trimming
- Litter picking and leaf clearance
- General landscaping and grounds maintenance
- Sports field maintenance and line marking
- Winter gritting duties
- Safe operation of hand and power tools
- Towing trailers between sites
Essential Requirements
- Proven experience in grounds or landscape maintenance
- Full UK driving licence (maximum 6 points)
- Experience towing trailers
- Ability to work independently and lead a small team when required
- Strong communication skills with a professional approach
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Availability to start between February and March (date TBC)
- Ability to provide work references
Desirable (but Not Essential)
- PA1 / PA6 certification
- Sports field maintenance and line marking experience
- Mechanical knowledge of grounds maintenance equipment
- Gardening or horticultural knowledge
