Our client is an innovative technology company at the forefront of next-generation power conversion solutions.

With significant financial backing from major private investors, including one of Poland's most successful private investors, the business is entering an exciting period of accelerated growth.

Their patented high-frequency AC (HFAC) power conversion technology has the potential to disrupt traditional approaches to power delivery, offering significant advantages across multiple industries including lighting, infrastructure, energy, data centres and industrial applications.

With ambitious growth plans and a planned IPO journey targeted for 2030, this is an opportunity to join a business at the beginning of a significant commercial expansion phase.

The Opportunity

The company is seeking an experienced Sales & Business Development professional who can introduce their technology to the marketplace, build strategic relationships and create commercial opportunities across the UK and potentially Europe.

This is not a traditional account management role.

The successful individual will play a key role in bringing a disruptive technology to market, understanding customer challenges, educating the industry and developing relationships with key stakeholders.

Initially, the focus will be on developing relationships within the local authority, highways and infrastructure sectors, identifying market challenges and opportunities, before progressing into engagement with lighting manufacturers and OEMs to integrate the technology into future product solutions.

The successful candidate will become the commercial face of the business within the market.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a commercial strategy to introduce the company's technology into the UK market.
  • Build strong relationships with local authorities, highways professionals, consultants and industry stakeholders.
  • Identify market challenges, customer requirements and opportunities where the company's technology can provide a genuine advantage.
  • Develop relationships with lighting OEMs, manufacturers and component suppliers to drive adoption of the technology.
  • Engage with engineering and technical teams to understand customer needs and translate these into commercial opportunities.
  • Promote the benefits of advanced power conversion technology and establish the company as a recognised market leader.
  • Build a strong network across the lighting, infrastructure and power electronics sectors.
  • Represent the business at industry events, exhibitions and customer meetings.
  • Support future European expansion through existing networks and market knowledge.

The ideal candidate will have a strong technical and commercial understanding of power conversion, lighting electronics or related technologies.

The company will be particularly interested in individuals who have experience working within areas such as:

  • LED drivers, power supplies, power electronics or related components.
  • Selling components or technology solutions into OEMs/manufacturers
  • Strong network within local authorities, highways, street lighting or infrastructure markets
  • Understanding of driver technology and the challenges faced by OEMs.

Requirements

  • Commercially driven with a consultative approach.
  • Comfortable selling innovative technology where education and market creation are key.
  • Able to engage with technical stakeholders as well as commercial decision makers.
  • Well connected within relevant markets.
  • Entrepreneurial, proactive and excited by the opportunity to build something from the ground up.
  • Capable of operating independently while being part of a growing technology business
