Role Overview
The Facilities Operations Manager is responsible for the effective day‑to‑day facilities management of our London sites, ensuring buildings are safe, compliant, and fully operational to support staff, students, and visitors. The role acts as the key point of contact for landlords, contractors, and internal stakeholders, coordinating planned and reactive maintenance, managing compliance and health & safety requirements, and supporting building‑related projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day‑to‑day facilities of our London centres, ensuring facilities are maintained to a high standard.
- Train the operations team on building checks and facilities procedures.
- Act as primary point of contact for contractors, including RAMS, bookings, access and performance management.
- Manage Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedules and records.
- Liaise regularly with landlords and coordinate landlord‑led works and inspections.
- Manage facilities supply procurement and stock control for larger operational items e.g. critical spares.
- Resolve day‑to‑day facilities issues and coordinate classroom IT fixes.
- Assist with building‑related projects such as office moves or refurbishments.
- Support building compliance, health & safety processes, audits and documentation.
- Any other duties as required.
Skills and Experience
- Proven experience in facilities and operations management.
- Strong knowledge of building maintenance, contractor management and PPM.
- Experience delivering to compliance and health & safety requirements.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Hands‑on, proactive and solutions‑focused approach.
