Job Summary
First Intuition South provides accountancy training from its office in central Bristol as well as a location in Exeter. We are looking for a confident, reliable and data-driven individual to join our Operations Team who will oversee invigilation and reporting for exams across both sites. The ideal candidate will be very competent with use of computers and various systems, be vigilant and professional. The position is full-time and permanent, Monday to Friday. An office-based role with allowance for home working when possible.
Duties and responsibilities
- Invigilate exams, which include checking in students and administering exams
- Manage availability through online booking system
- Book in various different exams on each system promptly and accurately
- Coordinate available dates based on availability in centre and demand from students/clients
- Collate pass rate data across each level and qualification to be analysed by senior management
- Liaise internally with finance to process invoicing and payments
- Input exam results into our student system and keep data up to date and accurate
- Maintain any updates for exam software and complete annual training for systems necessary
- Implement rules and procedures around exams and complying with each policy
- Keep up to date with any training requirements and updates from the examining bodies
- Share best practice across the FI network
Qualifications and skills
Essential:
- Effective communicator with excellent interpersonal skills
- Personable, the successful candidate should be approachable and able to work within a small team
- Office 365 skills, good knowledge of Excel is essential
- Confident and professional
- Exceptional organisational and time management skills
- Ability to manage own workload
- Data analysis skills
- Knowledge of Power BI desirable, but not essential
- Flexible attitude and strong attention to detail
- Any previous exam/invigilating experience is desirable, but not necessary
- Strong attention to detail with good data processing accuracy
KPIs
- Exam room capacity vs actual occupancy per month. Analysing the reasons behind the lack of uptake of spaces and monitoring peak times in order to plan for where future availability is needed.
- Exam pass rates broken down by qualification, shared across the network to compare success rates.
