Job summary

The Content and Website Lead is a 12-month maternity cover role within First Intuition’s UK marketing team. The role is responsible for planning and delivering student communications, overseeing website development, and driving both short- and long-term projects that support the business’s wider goals.

A key focus of the role is leading the website strategy, including content creation, webpage design, and ongoing site management. The role reports to the Head of Marketing within the UK Marketing team.

Duties and responsibilities to include

  • Support the marketing team through effective line management: managing priorities, delegating tasks, reviewing work, giving constructive feedback, and identifying training needs.
  • Act as the website lead, managing supplier relationships, designing page layouts, overseeing development requests, and collaborating with internal teams to improve the website user experience.
  • Champion the FI brand by ensuring all FI group materials align with brand guidelines.
  • Oversee the student communications plan and marketing activity planner, ensuring key events and campaigns are scheduled in advance to support strong departmental decision-making.
  • Manage the content calendar, adding new topics and ideas informed by up-to-date research across the accountancy and professional education sectors.
  • Work with a digital marketing agency on website optimisation and provide input on display advertising creative.
  • Analyse website and content performance using tools such as Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity, reporting on the effectiveness of marketing activity and recommending improvements.
  • Lead or support marketing projects in collaboration with the Head of Marketing and wider business.
  • Supporting additional work as reasonably required by management from time to time. This list is not exhaustive.

Qualifications and skills

Essential

  • 2+ years line manager experience.
  • Experience implementing and managing a customer communications plan.
  • Keen eye for content design with excellent attention to detail.
  • Experience with email marketing tools such as Mailchimp.
  • Project management experience.
  • Analytical thinking with data reporting skills.
  • Effective communicator with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem solving and time management skills.
  • Experience using AI to streamline processes and content creation.

Desirable

  • CIM qualification or equivalent.
  • Experience in the education industry.
  • Knowledge of apprenticeship standards and programmes.
  • Knowledge of the accountancy and finance sector.
  • Experience of using a CRM system.

Location

This role is remote, with periodic travel to the London First Intuition office, located within walking distance of main transport hubs.

FI is a flexible employer and therefore for the right person we would accommodate a balance of home and office work, although requirements of the role mean any such arrangement would not be contractual.
