Summary
Implement, upgrade, document, and support assigned software applications. Serve as the primary contact between the vendor and IT Operations staff, working with management, project teams, and system engineers to resolve issues and deliver projects.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Research, test, and deploy upgrades and releases following change management procedures.
- Provide tier-three support for escalated issues and collaborate with other IT teams for resolution.
- Understand application interactions with underlying technologies such as Windows Server, SQL Server, Active Directory, Citrix XenApp, VMware, and networking protocols.
- Use PowerShell and scripting tools to automate processes and troubleshoot.
- Develop and deliver training for end users.
- Create and maintain system documentation, including procedures, diagrams, disaster recovery plans, and audits.
- Assist in creating SLAs and BCPs for applications.
- Translate business requirements into system requirements and communicate with vendors.
- Monitor and report on system performance issues.
- Recommend system improvements based on business needs.
- Lead meetings and project efforts, supporting or serving as system administrator for applications.
- Occasional after-hours work may be required.
Qualifications

Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of related experience, or equivalent; certifications like CompTIA A+, MTA, MCSE, CCNA are considered in lieu of a degree. Familiarity with core infrastructure including Active Directory, Windows Server/OS, scripting, middleware, databases, networking, and application topologies. Experience with SolarWinds or similar network monitoring tools. Bank software administration experience is preferred.
