You will be responsible for the effective management and delivery of Shepherd’s View supported accommodation project for young parents and their children.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the project is safely staffed on a 24-hour / 7-day basis, maintaining a robust rota system and emergency cover plans.
  • Take responsibility for ensuring appropriate cover arrangements in response to annual leave, sickness or unexpected absence.
  • Ensure young parents receive structured, planned and consistent support through key working, support planning, risk assessment and review processes.
  • Promote and embed trauma-informed practices, recognising the impact of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) on behaviour, engagement, emotional regulation and relationships.
  • Ensure residents are supported to develop independent living skills, tenancy sustainment skills, budgeting, and personal resilience.

Skills and Qualifications

  • A level 5 qualification in Managing Health and Social Care or be working towards it, to be completed within the first year of employment.
  • At least 2 years' direct work experience of working in accommodation or community work setting with vulnerable young people aged 16 to 25 years and/or children aged 0 to 5 years.

Access NI checks will be carried out before an appointment can be confirmed. This position is also subject to compulsory registration with the Northern Ireland Social Care Council (NISCC). We are an Equal Opportunities Employer.
