Main Purpose of Role
A field-based position supporting the Service Department. Meeting with existing customers at their properties to provide repair and replacement services following the company warranty conditions (faulty products and faulty workmanship).
Main Duties
- Meet with customers onsite, understand their requirements and discuss their options in relation to works to be undertaken, e.g. repairs/replacements.
- Validate claim is consistent with product of installation fault, if necessary, ensuring completion of repairs and that the appropriate escalation process is followed.
- Complete assigned installation and repair jobs to a high standard within appropriate timescales.
- Ensure possession of all necessary goods, tools & equipment to complete all assigned work and report any shortages at the earliest opportunity.
- Ensure all information is accurately captured using a Personal Digital Assistant (PDA) and ensure that all PDA steps are fully complied with.
- Ensure all Company requirements in relation to paperwork, time sheets, activity sheets and vehicle checks are adhered to and completed in a timely manner.
- Comply with the Health & Safety and Information Security requirements of the company.
Knowledge, Skills & Attributes
- Essential: Experience in window & door product knowledge (at least 3 years).
- Driving licence.
- Good written and telephone communication skills.
- Positive attitude and professional manner with a pride in solving customers' problems first time.
- Ability to prioritise and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Desirable: Experience gained in an installation role fitting windows & doors.
- Experience of working independently as well as in a team environment.
