Recruitment & Customer Service Assistant β Full Time
REPORTING TO: Manager MAIN PURPOSE OF ROLE
The Recruitment & Customer Service Assistant will support the day-to-day recruitment process while delivering a high standard of customer service to candidates, clients and other contacts. The role involves communicating with candidates and clients by telephone and email, responding to enquiries, supporting applicants throughout the recruitment process and ensuring that everyone receives a professional, friendly and efficient service. Key responsibilities include: Sourcing suitable job applicants from the company database and exploring potential employment opportunities.
Contacting candidates by telephone and email to discuss vacancies and arrange interviews.
Providing excellent customer service to candidates throughout the recruitment process.
Responding promptly and professionally to candidate and client enquiries.
Building and maintaining positive relationships with candidates, clients and external contacts.
Establishing new contacts to support the development of the client database.
Adding new vacancies to the job board, ensuring adverts are accurate, professional and designed to maximise applications.
Sending interview confirmations, job descriptions and other relevant information to candidates.
Following up with candidates following interviews and providing updates wherever possible.
Ensuring candidates receive a positive and professional experience from initial registration through to placement.
MAIN DUTIES
Register candidates looking for temporary or permanent employment.
Conduct candidate assessments and interviews to gain a clear understanding of their experience, skills and career goals.
Complete reference checks, compliance checks and candidate vetting following registration.
Answer incoming telephone calls in a professional and welcoming manner, dealing with enquiries where possible or directing calls to the appropriate member of staff.
Respond to candidate and client emails efficiently and professionally.
Deal with general queries, concerns and complaints in a calm, helpful and professional manner.
Provide candidates with clear information regarding vacancies, interviews, registration requirements and recruitment processes.
Maintain regular communication with candidates and keep them informed of relevant opportunities and application progress.
Follow up with clients and candidates to ensure they are satisfied with the service provided.
Build strong, professional relationships with existing and prospective clients.
Maintain accurate candidate and client information on internal systems and databases.
Support the recruitment team with administrative and customer service duties as required.
Represent the company professionally at local and national recruitment-related events.
Maintain a professional, friendly and customer-focused approach at all times.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
Previous experience within recruitment, customer service, sales or a similar fast-paced environment would be advantageous.
Strong customer service and relationship-building skills.
Confident telephone manner with the ability to communicate with a wide range of people.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong active listening skills and the ability to understand customer and candidate requirements.
