REPORTS TO: Survey Manager
MAIN PURPOSE OF ROLE: Employed position required to survey window and door domestic contracts and take measurements in order to consolidate the sales contracts. To protect the consumer and company ensuring that works to be undertaken are cost effective, practical and comply with industry standards.
MAIN DUTIES:
- To survey domestic window & door contracts.
- Measure product and consolidate contracts in line with what has been sold ensuring that the sales contract is achievable both practically, cost effectively and complies with industry standards.
- Liaise with customers onsite clarifying their order and understanding of what product they have been sold for installation.
- Complete electronic survey using FHI software in the customer's property, ensuring all documents are completed fully and accurately and are signed off by the customer. These documents supersede any previous signed documentation.
- Leave a copy/email the survey details to the customer.
- E-mail all completed surveys into the central survey team for processing through to second costing/installations then onto manufacture.
- Carry out any appropriate risk assessments on site operating to stringent company health and safety procedures and processes regarding access.
- Attend bi-weekly departmental meetings (via TEAMS / ZOOM) to discuss industry changes legislation and to brainstorm any departmental or product development.
- Provide technical assistance to both the sales force and installations department to ensure effective efficiency and completion of our customers' contracts.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILL:
Essential:
- Experience within the window and door industry, ideally from a surveying or installation background.
- Ability to ensure that all jobs are measured correctly.
- Ability to recognise and order the necessary materials needed for the completion of jobs.
- Carry out risk assessments of each job.
- Good customer relations combined with an approachable and friendly manner.
- Good Literacy and Numeracy.
- IT literate.
- Driving license essential.
Desirable:
- 5 years surveying or installation experience in the domestic window and door industry.
- Experience of working at height.
Weekly paid % of survey value completed each week paid on top of salary as a commission - rewarding work actually completed.
Company car & fuel card.
