About the role

Join us as a Shift Engineering Supervisor at our Huddersfield depot and elevate your engineering career.

Role Specifics

  • Supervise maintenance and servicing of the fleet, ensuring compliance with statutory regulations.
  • Induct and develop a talented, high-performing engineering team.
  • Allocate planned and unplanned work efficiently, including covering absences.
  • Ensure vehicle availability aligns with operational requirements.
  • Support the Stores Manager in stock management and warranty claim processing.
  • Maintain accurate records of engineering standards, performance, fleet, and environmental management.
  • Conduct disciplinary, grievance, or absence management reviews as per company policy.
  • Work with depot operational and engineering teams to manage service performance, vehicle allocation, breakdowns, changeovers, and service punctuality and reliability.

We will provide PPE and tools to support your role.

Reporting to: Engineering Manager

Salary: £41,000

Shifts: Monday – Friday, 06:00 – 14:00; Sunday – Thursday, 14:00 – 22:00

About you

  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering is desirable.
  • Knowledge of safe workshop equipment operation and previous supervisory experience is essential.
  • Full clean UK Driving Licence is required.
  • UK residency and proof of Right to Work are necessary.
  • A PCV licence is desirable; we can assist in obtaining this.
