About the role:
At First Bus, every journey starts with our people. Behind the scenes, our engineering teams make sure our fleet is safe, reliable, and ready to keep communities moving. Now we're looking for a Semi‑Skilled Vehicle Technician to join our team based at our Kings Lynn Depot.
What you’ll be doing:
- Carrying out routine vehicle servicing in line with our standard operating procedures
- Attending on‑road breakdowns and recoveries
- Performing minor vehicle repairs to keep our fleet moving
- Taking part in training and development to grow your skills
- Working with full PPE and overalls provided
Location: Kings Lynn - with occasional travel to Norwich
Hours: 39 per week, 5 over 7 days early shift - flexible start/finish times
Pay: £16.35 p/h - £33,178 p/a (plus 20p extra per hour if you hold a PCV licence)
What you’ll need:
- A flexible and proactive approach to work
- A full UK driving licence (PCV licence preferred, but we can support you in obtaining this)
- Good understanding of basic vehicle repair techniques
- NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) in Engineering is desirable, but not essential
- Previous experience in a similar role is an advantage, but not required
