About the role
Our Qualified Customer Driver role is for those passionate about customer service. Customer Drivers play a crucial role in setting a new standard for rail in the 21st Century, focused on creating a safe, healthy, and environmentally sustainable experience for our customers and colleagues. In addition to driving our customers to their destinations, the Driver is expected to give excellent customer service, follow correct procedures and work with colleagues to ensure services run efficiently. The primary role of the Customer Driver is to safely operate the trains Lumo‑Stirling runs, keeping to a strict schedule while ensuring the safety of customers and colleagues. The Driver promotes safety, punctuality, security, information, cleanliness and customer service through all avenues, challenging poor practice and recognising excellent performance. The Driver also serves as an ambassador and performs customer service duties as required, promoting the Lumo‑Stirling image and delivering a great customer experience at all times.
About you

You will be a qualified Customer Driver holding the European Train Driving Licence, be qualified to drive 222 trains, and may be required to drive other types of trains with training provided. You will be able to operate tablet and other electronic devices required in the course of the Customer Driver's duties.
As a minimum you will need to have:
- You must hold a European Train Driving Licence.
- You will need to live within 60 minutes travel time to the depot at London Euston, without using public transport when it is not available. The safety responsibilities make this requirement a necessity.
- The ability to work shifts of varying start times, including weekends and night shifts.
- It is desirable that you will be required to drive our traction line 222 trains.
