We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Coachbuilder to join our busy mechanical engineering team in Norwich. For helping keep our fleet on the road, you will earn a good salary and great benefits. We will also provide your overalls and the basic tools and equipment needed for you to be successful in your role. This could be a great opportunity to widen your skill base in body work repair, work on a larger scale vehicle and also work on our state of the art electric vehicles.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Conducting accident bodywork repairs and diagnosing any faults
- Performing collision and vandalism repairs, including windows, panel and fibreglass work
- Interior repairs on seating and flooring and air operated door systems
- Paint preparation and any minor bodywork paint repairs and touch ups
- Addressing routine inspection findings and defect cards
- Documenting repairs for third-party insurance claims
Location: Norwich, Roundtree Way, NR7 8SQ
Working Hours: 39 hours per week, 5am-1:30pm, 5 days over 7 – 3 out of 6 weekends off
Pay: £20.12 per hour, with unsociable hours and weekend premium rates - potential to earn an extra £4000 per year!
Do you have a minimum level 3 NVQ standard or equivalent, with proven coach building experience? Do you have welding experience? Have you working experience in vehicle accident repair and painting, preferably for PSV/HGV vehicles? Full driving licence is preferred, a PCV licence isn’t essential, we can support you in gaining it.
