About the role
We\’re on the lookout for a skilled Electrician to join our night shift engineering team based in Glasgow. If you\’ve got experience working on buses, coaches, HGVs or other large commercial vehicles, and take pride in keeping vehicles road-ready, this could be the ideal role for you.As part of our energetic and dedicated engineering team, you\’ll play a key role in maintaining and repairing our fleet, ensuring services run smoothly for the communities we serve.
We also welcome applications from ex-Forces personnel with an engineering apprenticeship qualification, and experienced engineers from other sectors looking for a change.

Role specifics
- Diagnose vehicle faults and specify the correct method of repair and parts to be used.
- Carry out vehicle servicing.
- Be fully conversant with the overhaul and repair of vehicle electrical systems including engine management, automatic/semi-automatic gearboxes, electronic braking, suspension, electronic destinations, multiplex wiring systems and E.C.U.
- Be fully familiar with all relevant diagnostic equipment including multi meters, temperature gauges, micrometres, vernier gauges and E.C.U. diagnostic computer equipment.
We\’ll provide your overalls (PPE).
Hourly pay-rate: £22.91 + £2,000 JOINING BONUS!!
Working Hours: 39 Hrs per week (weekly pay)
About you
- Do you possess a minimum level 3 NVQ standard or equivalent (i.e., City & Guilds level 1 & 2)?
- You must be fully conversant with the safe operation of workshop equipment and the overhaul and repair of vehicle electrical systems.
- You must be in the possession of, or capable of obtaining a full PCV licence and forklift truck licence if required.
