What is the job?
This role is a sales-based role with high levels of customer service. You\’ll give a professional, friendly welcome to our customers, providing assistance and information whilst you work onboard. No two days are the same. One day you may be offering theat-seat trolley service to customers in standard class, selling a wide selection of refreshments and snacks, and the next you will be serving the GWR complimentary range to customers in first class. You\’ll be supporting your team and the Train Manager and ensuring the safety of passengers and your colleagues.

- To promote and sell GWR products onboard trains by engaging withcustomersto ensure they have the journey they deserve.
- To offer a complimentary trolley service for customers travelling in first class
- To sell refreshments to customers travelling in standard class

- To maintain a clean, hygienic and pleasant environment
What experience should I have?
- Customer service experience within a sales background
- The ability to work both alone and as part of a team
- Experience of food safety and stock rotation desirable
What will I need?

- The ability to work a variety of shifts including weekends and bank holidays
- To be proactive and able to use your initiative
- To be friendly, cheerful, and approachable
- To be comfortable working in a regulated environment

The basic salary during your probationary period is £25,478, rising to £33,331 after probation.
What else do I need to know?
You must live within one hour\’s travelling time from the station.
There are some very early starts and late finishes so you must be able to travel to and from the station at times when there is no public transportavailable.
The minimum age to apply for this position is 18.
