Location: Caledonia Depot, 100 Cathcart Road, G42 7BH
Contracted Hours: 38 per week (full time & permanent + overtime available)
Shifts: Nightshift 19:00pm-06:00am 4 on 4 off
Pay Rate: £22.91 per hour

About the Role
We are now looking for an NVQ/SVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) qualified PSV/HGV Electrician for our First Bus Glasgow Caledonia Depot – PSV or HGV mechanical/electrical experience is great however we love to hear from Light Vehicle qualified candidates and ex-Forces personnel with an engineering apprenticeship qualification, and experienced engineers from other sectors looking for a change. We offer technical up-skilling and career progression; your PPE is provided as well as a competitive hourly rate and great rewards & benefits.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and carry out vehicle electrical repairs, servicing, and parts replacement
- Diagnose vehicle electrical faults and specify the correct method of repair and parts to be used
- Carry out vehicle road testing where necessary to identify specific vehicle defects or following remedial repair
- Fully comply with all HSE legislation along with Group Policies
- Fully comply with all relevant Standard Operating Procedures
- Maintain and develop technical skills as required
About You
- Do you have a minimum Level 3 NVQ/SVQ (or City & Guilds equivalent) qualification in vehicle maintenance and repair – PSV/HGV preferred
- Ability to multi-skill within an Engineering Environment with preferably electrically biased experience
- A valid UK driving license, a PCV licence is desirable, ability to obtain PCV licence is essential
