About the Role - PSV/HGV Technician
Do you want to be part of our energetic team of HGV/PSV engineers and maintenance staff repairing our fleet of buses? If yes, then this PSV/HGV Technician position at our Bristol Lawrence Hill depot could just be the job for you! It offers technical up‑skilling with the potential to gain experience working on our state‑of‑the‑art electric vehicles and plenty of career progression. We will provide your overalls and all the basic tools and equipment needed for you to be successful in your role. For helping keep our fleet on the road, you'll earn a good hourly pay rate with premiums, and great rewards & benefits.
Key responsibilities:
- Diagnose and carry out vehicle repairs, servicing, and parts replacement
- Diagnose vehicle faults and specify the correct method of repair and parts to be used
- Carry out vehicle road testing where necessary to identify specific vehicle defects or following remedial repair
- To fully comply with all HSE legislation along with Group Policies
- To fully comply with all relevant Standard Operating Procedures
- Maintain and develop technical skills as required
Location: Bristol - Lawrence Hill, Easton Road, BS5 0DZ
Working Hours: 38 hours per week - day shift
Pay: £19.70 per hour
About you:
- Do you have a minimum Level 3 NVQ standard or equivalent (i.e. City & Guilds Level 1&2) - preferably in PSV or HGV vehicles?
- Ability to multi‑skill within an Engineering Environment
- A valid UK driving license, a PCV licence is desirable, ability to obtain PCV licence is essential
- Right to Work in the UK
