Position Details
- Location: Caledonia Depot, 100 Cathcart Road, G42 7BH
- Contract: Permanent – 38 hours per week plus overtime available
- Shift: Night shift 19:00pm – 06:00am (start and finish times can be discussed)
- Pay: £22.91 per hour
- Bonus: £2,000 joining bonus (terms apply)
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and carry out vehicle electrical repairs, servicing, and parts replacement.
- Diagnose vehicle electrical faults and specify the correct method of repair and parts to be used.
- Carry out vehicle road testing where necessary to identify specific vehicle defects or following remedial repair.
- Fully comply with all HSE legislation along with Group Policies.
- Fully comply with all relevant Standard Operating Procedures.
- Maintain and develop technical skills as required.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum Level 3 NVQ/SVQ (or City & Guilds equivalent) qualification in vehicle maintenance and repair – PSV/HGV preferred.
- Experience as an electrical or mechanical engineer with a background in bus or heavy vehicle maintenance.
- Valid UK driving licence; PCV licence desirable and essential to obtain if not already held.
- Multi‑skill ability within an engineering environment with an electrically biased focus.
- Willingness to work night shift and discuss start‑stop times.
