About the Role:
- Support engineer to the Glasgow depots
- Diagnosing faults and providing technical support over various communication channels
- Support updates on diagnostic equipment
- On-site training when diagnosing faults
- Attending training courses and transferring that knowledge to others
- Sharing technical information
- Working with the group tech team on projects, reporting to the HoE and Engineering Director
About You:
- Must possess a full driving licence; PCV licence is desirable
- Must have knowledge of Mercedes engines and ZF gearboxes
- Level 4 hybrid EV trained and minimum of Level 3 NVQ heavy vehicle / PCV tech
- A good knowledge of the First Bus fleet of vehicles
- Good diagnostic skills
- Good communication skills with the ability to lead and coach others
- IT literate with good organisational skills
- Open to working out of normal hours
- Working alongside group technical staff to provide clear information to support supplier meetings
- Able to attend training courses which may require overnight stays away from home
- HVAC trained and certified
