About the Role:

First Gas & Renewable Energy are looking for an engineer experienced in commercial gas & pipe fitting to join our growing team. This is a great opportunity for a motivated and dependable individual who takes pride in their work, consistently demonstrates a strong work ethic, and is willing to be flexible.

You will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing commercial gas systems, as well as carrying out pipe fitting duties across a range of commercial, industrial & domestic projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Installation, servicing, and maintenance of commercial gas appliances and systems
  • Fault finding, diagnostics, and repair work
  • Pipe fitting and installation
  • Working from technical drawings and specifications
  • Ensuring all work complies with current gas safety regulations and standards
  • Conducting safety checks and risk assessments
  • Liaising with clients, contractors, and team members on-site
  • Completing job reports and documentation accurately

Requirements

  • Full Clean UK Driving License
  • Flexibility for possible overtime & out of hour callouts
  • Valid Commercial Gas Qualifications (CCN1, CPA1, CENWAT, ACS, Gas Safe etc)
  • Health & Safety certifications (e.g. CSCS)
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
