Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Play Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and will play a vital role in creating a safe, engaging, and stimulating environment for children to learn and grow. This position involves supervising play activities, promoting positive interactions, and ensuring the well-being of all children in our care.
Duties
- Supervise and engage with children during playtime, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Plan and implement creative play activities that encourage social interaction, physical development, and cognitive skills.
- Foster an inclusive environment where all children feel valued and supported.
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to promote a positive atmosphere.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of play areas and equipment.
- Collaborate with other staff members to develop programmes that cater to the diverse needs of children.
- Keep accurate records of children\’s progress and any incidents that may occur.
Skills
- Experience working with children in a childcare or nursery setting is essential.
- Background in early childhood education is highly desirable.
- First Aid and Food hygiene desirable but training can be offered.
- Excellent communication skills in English to interact with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Ability to drive is advantageous for transporting materials or assisting with outings.
- A genuine passion for childcare, demonstrating patience, empathy, and creativity.
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: £12.21 per hour
Expected hours: 8.75 per week
